Event Details

Every single gain, every single right women have today is the result of struggle, and it’s not over yet. On International Women’s Day, March 5, 2016, you can join a protest to stop violence against women and fight to gain access to full reproductive rights.

Women Organized to Resist and Defend (WORD) says: “We must unite and fight the economic, political and social attacks on women’s rights. It is up to us to make 2014 a turning point for women’s rights. International Women’s Day–a day of celebration across the world that originated with the protest of women against exploitation in the factories–is an important day for us to gather and take action to resist the attacks on our rights and stand up to resist and defend.”

International Women’s Day is a global day celebrating the economic, political, and social achievements of women past, present, and future.
