Domestic work, which has traditionally been devalued and invisibilized as women’s labor, forms the bedrock of our society-domestic workers do the work that makes all other work possible. Domestic workers are primarily immigrant women and are among the most isolated and vulnerable workforce in the state. They are excluded from many basic labor protections that other workers take for granted.
