Event Details

Sashay and pirouette in between the stacks for “Inside the Dancer’s Life: Black Swan & Beyond,” a special talk by members of the Diablo Ballet Dancers, at Walnut Creek Library on Wednesday, September 7.

Join dancers Erika Johnson and Derek Sakakura, as well as local dance critic Toba Singer, for a panel on the demanding life of a professional ballet dancer from years of intense training, to injuries and the pressure to succeeded.

There will also be a drawing for two tickets to Diablo Ballet’s 18th Season premiere, so stick around afterward for the chance to tendu or tombé your way to a pair of free tickets.
