Movie-themed Canned Food Art Sculpture: Final Day | SF
Teams of architects, engineers and contractors will compete to design and build giant structures created entirely out of canned food for the 3rd Annual San Francisco CANstruction 2013. It’s similar to a sand castle contest, but all sculptures are made of canned food.
At the end of the exhibit, all cans will be donated to the SF Food Bank.
On display September 23-27, 2013 | Open 24 Hours
– Build Day is 9/22 | 4 pm to Midnight
– De-can-struction (Take down day) is 9/27 | 3-8 pm
One Rincon Center lobby and atrium, 121 Spear St., SF
Free, but canned food donations are requested
Directions: Enter through the main entrance for 101 Spear Street. The exhibit will be in the historic lobby and main atrium space.
2013 CANstruction Theme: From CANdyland to WoW
Nine teams of 26 firms will spend nearly 8 hours each building their sculptures using 2,500-5,000 cans each. They will all be on display as a free art exhibit filling the lobby and atrium of One Rincon Center from September 23-27, 2013. Docents will be onsite periodically during normal business hours to offer insight.
The exhibit is free to view, though attendees are encouraged to bring cans of food to donate.
