Music in the Park is back in San Jose for Summer 2017 with another round of top notch headliners entertaining the neighbors and visitors of Plaza de Cesar Chavez Park from 5:30-9 pm.

Individual general admission tickets are just $10 until the day of the show, when they jump to $15.

2017 Schedule

  • June 23: Katchafire
    Hailing from Hamilton, New Zealand, Katchafire have become a global roots reggae phenomenon. The all Maori Reggae has had hits dating back to 2002 and is on tour with its new album “Burn It Down.” Openers include One A Chord – also known as O.A.C. – from Monterey Bay and Mango Kingz, plus guest reggae DJ Robert Rankin of Massive Sound International.
  • July 20: Blues Traveler
    The band’s music covers a variety of genres, including blues rock, psychedelic rock, folk rock, soul, and Southern rock. Blues Traveler is credited as the lead in the revival jam band movement of the 90s. Local favorite Ben Henderson and friends and special guest Socorra will open. Henderson jams Americana and blues, while Socorra blends Motown, folk rock and pop.
  • Aug. 3 : Brenton Woods
    Soul legend Brenton Wood brings his hits to Music in the Park. Beloved songs including “Gimme Little Sign” and “The Oogum Boogum Song” will have you wanting to grab your high-heeled boots and your hip-hugger suit. Opening acts are San Jose’s own Isaiah Pickett, with his iconic 50s sound, and popular soul rockers Sweet HayaH.
  • Aug. 25: War
    From Low Rider to Why Can’t We Be Friends, WAR has been bringing the Afro-Cuban, Jazz, Rock, Blues fusion to your ears since before you could dance.
