Event Details

Get your hands dirty while learning about the greening movement and the benefits of community gardening. Culinary pioneer and community gardening advocate Katy Ourlser will lead sessions during the workshop to teach gardening 101 basics, how to maintain crops and turn bountiful harvests in to simple and nutritious meals. She can even show “real-estate challenged” city dwellers how to create a “shoe-rack” garden right in their apartment.

About Giving Through Growing:

Supported by an online campaign, the program’s website www.woodbridgewines.com/garden will allow people to send “e-seeds” to friends and family, and Woodbridge by Robert Mondavi will donate one dollar to the ACGA for every e-seed sent, up to a total of $40,000. These funds will provide educational tools and leadership training to select ACGA members across the country to help sustain successful community garden programs.
