SF Olympians Festival VI: The Fundraiser Games & Picnic | Golden Gate Park

Dress in your best chiton and peplos, put some flowers in your hair or dust off those laurels you’ve been resting on, and come compete in a variety of field games (or cheer on those who do) of the first ever San Francisco Olympians Festival Fundraiser Games in Golden Gate Park from 1-5 pm on Sunday, August 30, 2015.

It’s like the Hunger Games, but nobody dies, Elizabeth Banks is nowhere to be found, and everyone is dressed in sheets. They’ll have some beverages and snacks to share, but it’s a potluck picnic so feel free to bring your own and spend as long or as little as you like hanging out with them – though folks who make it to the end may get some theatrical surprises.

Frolic in Golden Gate Park at the lovely Pioneer Grove, located near the Log Cabin at Stowe Lake and John F. Kennedy Drive.

There’s no admission fee, just a suggested donation, which you can make as large as you want (though they suggest a minimum of $20). All the funds raised go to paying their rent at the EXIT Theatre for the 12 nights from November 4-21, 2015 when they’ll be bringing you some of the best in hot-off-the-laser-printer new work.
