The Independent takes the day off from hosting concerts to show the Niners vs. Ravens in the 2013 Super Bowl (or “the big game” as they are allowed to call it) on a 221″ screen (that’s 12 feet x 14 feet, folks).

Last year they served pitchers of all of their beers on tap (Lagunitas IPA, Mirror Pond Pale Ale, Widmer Hefeweizen, Stella, Bud Light) plus shots of Goldschlager for $5.

Don’t screw yourself at a sports bar buying an overpriced nasty-ass nacho plate

The Independent doesn’t have a kitchen itself, so they are encouraging fans to save dough by bringing their own food from home – or if you want to splurge, you can bring in a to-go order from one of the great NoPa area eateries close by like Little Chihuahua or Little Star, etc.
