Event Details

Fingerprints over Frisco. San Francisco’s People’s Poet Tony Robles reads from his new book of short stories and poems Fingerprints of a Hunger Strike, a collection that honors the Frisco Five Hunger Strikers and those who fight to keep the soul of San Francisco intact through activism, art and day to day survival. “Make no mistake, this is an important compilation. They are masterful, unpretentious, and expressive of the dreams and aspirations we all share” says Neeli Cherkovski, poet and biographer of Charles Bukowski. This collection follows 2015’s Cool Don’t Live Here No More–A letter to San Francisco, poems and short stories from a native son of the city. Joining Tony will be poets Kayvan Zahiri and Jackie Ramos.

A book sale and signing will follow the readings.
