New Years Eve Bell Ringing & Bonfire | San Francisco Zen Center Celebrate the end of the year with a serene New Year’s Eve evening at the San Francisco Zen Center on December 31, 2014.

This event begins at 8:30 pm with a work meeting followed by temple cleaning. Noodle soup is served at 10 pm (most likely complimentary, but bring along some cash – you can always donate it to this great venue).

The rhythmic rap of the wooden han begins at 10:30 pm to signal zazen at 10:45 pm. There will be two periods of zazen meditation and the ringing of the densho bell 108 times.

The night ends with a bonfire in the courtyard.
