New Years Eve Bell Ringing & Bonfire | San Francisco Zen Center Celebrate the end of 2013 with a serene New Year’s Eve evening at the San Francisco Zen Center.

This event begins at 8:30 pm with a work meeting followed by temple cleaning. Noodle soup is served at 10 pm (most likely complimentary, but bring along money, just in case).

The rhythmic rap of the wooden han begins at 10:30 pm to signal zazen at 10:45 pm. There will be two periods of zazen meditation and the ringing of the densho bell 108 times.

The night ends with a bonfire in the courtyard.
