10th Annual Open Farm Day: Hayrides + Animals (Vacaville)

The 10th Annual Pleasants Valley Open Farm Day is a free agritourism event in unincorporated Vacaville where seven local farms and ranches offer animal encounters, tractor hayrides, agricultural demonstrations, workshops, historical walking tours, local products and food trucks. Participating locations include Soul Food Farm, Morningsun Herb Farm, Brazelton Ranch, Summerfield Cattle Company, Pleasants Valley Riding Arena, Joyful Ranch and Menagerie Hill Ranch.

Seven Local Farms and Ranches Open Their Gates for a Free Day of
Agriculture, Animals, Food, Workshops and Family FunThe Pleasants Valley Agriculture Association
(PVAA) invites the public to celebrate the 10th Annual Pleasants Valley Open Farm Day on
Saturday, September 19, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the beautiful agricultural valleys of
unincorporated Vacaville.
This free annual agritourism event gives visitors an opportunity to travel through Pleasants
Valley and experience working farms and ranches firsthand. This year, seven participating
farms and ranches will open their gates: Soul Food Farm, Morningsun Herb Farm, Brazelton
Ranch, Summerfield Cattle Company, Pleasants Valley Riding Arena, Joyful Ranch and
Menagerie Hill Ranch.
Throughout the day, visitors can meet farmers and ranchers, shop locally grown and produced
goods, learn about agriculture, interact with farm animals and enjoy demonstrations, workshops,
food and activities.
Highlights include mini Highland cows, tractor hayrides, gymkhana and roping
demonstrations, mini-horse petting, honeybee talks and hive demonstrations, alpacas and
fiber arts, historical walking tours, plein-air painters, fall gardening workshops, local
produce, jams, honey, olive oil, flowers, crafts, food trucks and much more. The complete
