For a decade, this iconic space at 1540 Market St, recognizable by its stunning bird mural, has been home to local artists, transforming an underutilized building into a thriving hub of creativity.

About the Space
The Journal Building is part of ArtSpan’s Art-In-Neighborhoods program, which partners with building owners to provide below-market-rate studio space to local artists. The building features a striking bird mural by the late Joshua Coffey and has become a neighborhood landmark.
All are welcome to this free event as we look back on a decade of art, collaboration, and neighborhood transformation!
