150th Anniversary: Martinez’s Sesquicentennial Festival (2026)

Celebrate Martinez’s 150th anniversary with a free, all-ages festival at the Martinez Waterfront. Enjoy live music, a climbing wall, kids’ zone, foam parties, water games, bocce, face painting, arts and crafts, and more—all activities are free. Attendees receive a complimentary dessert to mark the milestone. A community drone photo will be taken at 12:30pm. The Bay Area Craft Beer Festival runs concurrently as a separate ticketed 21+ event from 1–6pm.

_A celebration of our community, by our community! Martinez Sesquicentennial Festival at the Martinez Waterfront August 29, 2026 11am-7pm (Beer Fest: 1-6pm) As we count down the days, here are three key things we want everyone to know: 1. All festival activities are FREE for attendees! 🎉 Including live music, climbing wall, kids’ zone, foam parties, water games, bike activities, bocce, face painting, arts and crafts, and more: every activity throughout the Festival is free to enjoy. In addition to these free attractions, retail items celebrating Martinez and a variety of food and beverages will also be available for purchase. 2. Join us at 12:30pm for the official Festival drone photo! 📸 Want to be a part of it? Be sure to be at the Waterfront Park area at 12:30pm, when the drone will lift off to capture our community gathered together for this once‑in‑a‑generation moment. 3. Our anniversary gift to you: a FREE dessert at the Festival!💝 As part of marking Martinez’s 150th year, the City is treating every attendee to one complimentary dessert, a sweet thank‑you for being part of our community! We’re bringing multiple sweet options to the Festival so everyone can share in this milestone moment together. The day’s festivities also feature the Bay Area Craft Beer Festival, Downtown Martinez & Co’s main fundraising event of the year. This ticketed 21+ tasting experience runs from 1-6pm.
