Join celebrate Juneteenth Emancipation Freedom Day 3rd on Third Juneteenth Celebration plus Soul Food Cook Off at the Bayview Opera House Ruth Williams Memorial Theatre.

$10 Community Ticket, $20 Event Supporter Ticket

Bring your home-prepared Soul Food dishes to BVOH Ruth Williams Memorial Theater to compete in BBQ, greens, or dessert category and get a chance to win $250 cash prize for the winner in each category. The Board of Directors will be the tasting judges.

Bayview Opera House will be offering $25 stipends to 10 contestants in each category who sign up for a Soul Food Cook Off entry, to help cover your cost of preparation.

  • Listen To Live Music by “Kynship”- formed by the sons of Ruth Williams
    George G Roc Williams and grandson, young rapper Kyrie Williams who will freestyle about his grandmother Ruth Williams.
  • Dance to DJ Tunes- DJ Casanova
  • Remembering Mary L. Booker
  • Dig Into A Plate– Bayview Underground Food Scene vendors will serve up your favorite 3rd on Third neigborhood food.
  • Kick Back At Free Movie Screening– Keep the evening going by relaxing inside and watch
    “Hidden Figures” free movie screening 7:00 pm. Popcorn and beverages available for purchase
