Celebrate the Beat legacy at the 2025 ruth weiss Poetry Awards , a night of art, film, and fearless poetic expression.
Join us for the 2025 ruth weiss Poetry Awards & Ceremony, celebrating the fearless spirit of poet, performer, and Beat Generation icon ruth weiss (1928–2020).
Held at San Francisco’s Counterculture Museum, this immersive evening features live poetry readings, cinepoem screenings, DJ-curated music, and a rare exhibit of ruth’s poem-paintings.
Presented by the ruth weiss Foundation in partnership with Caesura Publishers and the Poetry Center of San José, the event honors artistic freedom and the ongoing influence of the Beat movement.
