Saturday, September 26, 2026 - 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm | Cost: FREE
Park Branch Library | 1833 Page Street, San Francisco, CA

Event Details

We will discuss 7 specific cases around the world for Banned Books Week 2026 and then write letters together.  You can find the details here:

https://www.amnestyusa.org/campaigns/banned-books/bbw2026/

We will reach out to authorities on behalf of these individuals.  We can also write letters of solidarity directly to prisoners of conscience and/or their families.  We’ll provide supplies for writing letters (paper, pens, envelopes, sample letters, etc., as well as crayons and color pencils for kids who want to make their own cards) but feel free to bring your own favorite letter-writing supplies as well.

Disclaimer: Please double check event information with the event organizer as events can be canceled, details can change after they are added to our calendar, and errors do occur.
