Cat’s Hill Classic Bicycle Race Returns for 50th Edition!
The San Jose Bicycle Club is proud to announce that the 50th edition of the Cat’s Hill Classic bicycle race will be held on Saturday, March 21st, 2026. The Los Gatos Roofing Cat’s Hill Classic, with thestart/finish located at the corner of Tait and Nicholson Ave, Los Gatos, CA, offers bicycle racing action all day from 8 am until 5 pm, with a free Kid’s Race presented by Donna Tam of Christie’s Sereno at 12:20 pm (preregistration required, on the day). Racers of all levels, from beginner to pro, and all ages, from 9 to 60+, will be competing throughout the day on a 1-mile loop. The full schedule can be found at https://teamsanjose.org/section/catshill/.
We are excited to welcome spectators and racers to our fun, action-packed event throughout the day!
The race features the infamous 23% “Cat’s Hill”, which is a great viewing spot where spectators can cheer on and/or heckle the racers as they tackle the hill over and over. This year we will also have a lead-out car by Lamborghini Los Gatos!
The race has been won by many great American bicycle racers in the past, including Greg Lemond, Megan Guarnier, and Luke Lamperti. We will have a ceremony at 12:35 to commemorate the 50th edition, with the Town of Los Gatos Mayor and Vice Mayor, and past champions in attendance, and a presentation of the perpetual trophy. Stick around on Saturday night for more celebration and to raise funds for future editions at Campo di Bocce (just down the road from the race course at 565 University Ave, Los Gatos, CA) starting at 6:30pm.
