Forget the guilt trip, the Green Film Festival of San Francisco, the mischievous, tree-hugging cousin of the 29 year old SF IndieFest, returns Oct 15-22, 2026 to prove that saving the planet doesn’t have to feel like homework. We’ve ditched the doom-and-gloom documentaries that make you want to crawl under a (sustainably sourced) blanket and never come out.

MOVIES FOR ALL: With proof of an EBT/SNAP card, folks are eligible for $5 movie tickets at the Green Film Festival.
Tickets are redeemable online or at the box office. For ordering live shows online, please be prepared to show your EBT card when checking in at the box office. To order tickets to virtual presentations email a photo of yourself holding your card to info@sfindie.com to unlock your $5 tickets to virtual shows. The discount code to use when checking out at the box office is “moviesforall.”

Through this experience the festival hopes audiences can begin to engage with sustainable solutions to the problems facing the planet.
