2nd Annual Say Hey Day: Disconnect To Connect | SF

“Say Hey Day” is a day of awareness in and around San Francisco. It’s easy to participate and won’t take up additional time in your day. And the impact this could have on communities is massive and meaningful.

Here’s the pledge and what they’re asking you to do for one day on September 15th:

• Put away your phone and tablet unless you absolutely need it. Disconnect to connect.
• As you go about your day, maybe while commuting to work, look people in the eye as you pass them by. Smile at a stranger. Listen to the sounds of the city instead of your music.
• Take it all in, and think about the others who share the city and area with you.
•  If you interact with people in your neighborhood on a regular basis but have never said hi, introduce yourself.

People talk about being disconnected, so do something about it.
