Make a Day of It on Historic Mare Island

Looking for a fun Bay Area day trip? Come explore historic Mare Island on Sunday, August 16 for the inaugural Mare Island Art • Fashion • Vintage Bazaar—a waterfront marketplace celebrating art, vintage style, music, food, creativity, and community.

And the Bazaar is just one part of the 3rd Annual Art of Community Festival, presented by Artiszen Vallejo and Mare Island Art Studios.

Start your day with coffee at Quarters Coffee House on Mare Island, then come hang out with us at the waterfront market.

Explore the galleries and experience Diana Krevsky: Legacy in Color, a solo exhibition spanning works from the 1970s to the present.

Check out Under 21, the Vallejo Youth Artists Exhibition & Poetry Showcase, celebrating the creativity and voices of young artists in our community.

Explore the studios! Mare Island Art Studios is home to 23 working artist studios, giving you the chance to discover artists where they actually create and see what is happening behind the gallery walls.

Then shop the Bazaar for original art, handmade goods, vintage clothing, curated fashion, jewelry, antiques, collectibles, and one-of-a-kind treasures.

You might find the perfect vintage dress.

And, of course, the perfect necklace to go with it.

Grab some awesome food, enjoy live music, meet artists and makers, and spend some time hanging out on the historic waterfront.

Then keep exploring! Mare Island is home to some seriously cool historic spaces, including a brewery, whiskey distillery, and wine bar located in historic Admirals’ Quarters.
