Event Details

So you think it was just sex, drugs, and rock ‘n’ roll? Marilyn and Michael Lucas, native San Franciscans and founding members and former board members of the SFHA, will share an evening with guests reliving their experiences during the Summer of Love. Participate in a Happening and enjoy a display of vintage Family Dog rock posters.

Marilyn Lucas has collected San Francisco rock posters for six decades and has been a board member of the Rock Poster Society for more than a decade. Her collection was first on display with the SFHA in 1982 at the SF Urban Fair and has been exhibited often since then. Michael Lucas will talk about some of his experiences. He was at the first planning meeting for the Summer of Love, and attended the Human Be-In and other events of the era.
