$5 Classic Movie Night | Paramount Theatre
Experience the great films of Hollywood’s Golden Era in one of America’s finest Art Deco movie palaces.
With over 3,000 seats and a meticulously-restored interior, the Paramount offers a true “Movie Palace” experience straight out of the 1930s – with period newsreels, cartoons, previews, live music from the Mighty Wurlitzer organ and the audience participation spinning wheel game of “Dec-O-Win.”
While on an official visit to Rome a bored young Princess Anne (Audrey Hepburn) slips away from her handlers to sample the wonders of the ancient city – incognito.
When she encounters down-on-his-luck reporter Joe Bradley (Gregory Peck), all Joe can think about at first is the world’s biggest scoop. All Princess Anne can think about is sampling the life of a commoner, free from royal responsibilities. Previously known only to British movie-goers, Hepburn garnered both Golden Globe and Academy Awards for Best Actress for her performance in this film that launched her Hollywood career.
