Event Details

$5 Classic Movie Night | Paramount Theatre

Experience the great films of Hollywood’s Golden Era in one of America’s finest Art Deco movie palaces.

With over 3,000 seats and a meticulously-restored interior, the Paramount offers a true “Movie Palace” experience straight out of the 1930s – with period newsreels, cartoons, previews, live music from the Mighty Wurlitzer organ and the audience participation spinning wheel game of “Dec-O-Win.”

Celebrate the 85th anniversary of one of America’s finest Art Deco treasures. Doors open at 6:30pm with free tours, historic displays and rare access to Paramount’s archive materials and free popcorn for the first 500 guests. Oh, and a screening of only like the best movie ever, The Wizard of Oz, all for just $5.

Brilliantly adapted from L. Frank Baum’s venerated children’s book and winning Oscars for Best Original Song, Best Original Score, Best Cinematography, and Best Picture, this beloved musical fantasy is the most watched movie in history.

More than 70 years since Judy Garland as Dorothy set out with The Scarecrow (Ray Bolger), The Cowardly Lion (Bert Lahr) , and The Tin Woodman (Jack Haley) along the Yellow Brick Road, the universal appeal of The Wizard of Oz remains undiminished.
