Handmade Pacifica Returns to the Coastside at the end of July

Pacifica, CA — Handmade Pacifica returns to the Sanchez Art Center in north San Mateo County on Sunday, July 26, 2026, from 1:00–5:00 pm, bringing a vibrant celebration of local creativity to the coastside.

This highly anticipated annual outdoor gathering showcases a thoughtfully curated selection of more than two dozen local artisans and makers, carefully coordinated by event founder Kristina Ayala and local artist Daniele Derenzi. Set against the picturesque backdrop of the Sanchez Art Center, the event transforms the space into a lively open-air marketplace filled with tents, tables, and handmade treasures.

Visitors can explore a wide range of handcrafted goods, including sea glass jewelry, ceramics, leatherwork, handwoven textiles, fine art prints, and photography inspired by the natural beauty of the region. Sustainable wood gifts and artisan-crafted bath and body products add to the variety of offerings.  Food lovers will also find plenty to enjoy, with small-batch chutneys, jams, chocolates, and other delicious treats available to take home.

Handmade Pacifica offers a relaxed, community-centered opportunity to meet local makers, discover one-of-a-kind pieces, and support independent craftsmanship, all on the coast in Pacifica.

Artisans/Makers are: Audubon Woodworks, Chorus Fragrance CMG Woodwork, Cocotutti Chocolate, dnd Studios, Food for Faces, Grace Kavanaugh Art, Habitat Art Studio, Kaoru Sanchez, Left Coast Sea Glass, MAE Leather Goods, Mama J Glass, McQuade’s Celtic Chutney, Naptime Designs, Outersoul Wellness, Pacifica Historical Society, PC Studio Ceramics, Pufferfish Press, RENNIE Goods, Ro Mattsmith Art, SEMA J’$ Cookies, Sheila Loggan, Shen Aroma Farms, Skeletal Dropkick, and Small Batch Jam Co.  Plus, local favorites Pacific Java can keep you alert with an energizing beverage and the Moonraker food truck will offer hearty sea fare to enjoy onsite, replenish from shopping and keep enjoying the art!

In addition to the giftable artisanal offerings, all three of the galleries of Sanchez Art Center will be open showing:  Archana Horsting, Angle of Repose, curated by Alida Bray; Balancing Act, at the waters edge, in collaboration with the Pacifica Land Trust;  and Strangely Familiar, a group themed show by members of the Art Guild of Pacifica.  PLUS live music by Blue City Jazz.  AND, several Sanchez Art Center studio artists will also open their creative spaces to welcome the public, providing opportunity to engage with them and gain deeper insight into their practice.

Handmade Pacifica and Sanchez Art Center look forward to having you attend as the community comes together to uncover the hidden gems of Pacifica supporting local artisans/makers.  Event organizers highly recommend walking, biking or carpooling to ensure an enjoyable time and minimize parking challenges (limited onsite parking with street parking also available). Sanchez Art Center is located at 1220 Linda Mar Blvd, Pacifica, about a mile east from Highway One.
