8 Days of Anarchy | SF & Berkeley

Springtime in San Francisco brings tulips and anarchists. Yes, from March 9-16, 2010 it’s time to shift gears to San Francisco’s other time-honored spring festival – “8 Days of Anarchy” with a full week+1 of free study groups, film nights, workshops, book readings, symposiums, hacking and downright mayhem.

Like all good anarchist events, this one if full of intent, but lacking in organization – so good luck figuring out times, dates and locations for some of these events. a minimal amount of further details are here.

Day One: Anarchist Study Group – Tue March 9th
The first day will be a Disscussion of the new Text “After The Fall” At The Long Haul Infoshop, 3142 Shattuck Ave. Berkeley, CA 8pm-10pm

Day Two: Movies at The Long Haul Infoshop – Wed March 10th
Wednesday night we will be watching at least one (maybe two) documentaries by the filmmaker Adam Curtis. The specific film in TBA

Day Three: Ardent Press Book release party – Thu March 11th
A Book Release Party At Station 40 – In celebration of the THREE new books coming out from new anarchist and anti-political publisher Ardent Press we will have an event with drinks and hors d’oeuvres. 8 pm – 10pm. Station 40

Day Four: Anti-Authortarian Computer Security – Fri March 12th
one night attempt to share information and skills on digital security, tools, and news between an anti authoritarian tech and activist community. It will be a 3 hour meeting with presentations on basic digital security practices and tools.

Day Five: Anarchist Bookfaire – Sat March 13th
Come see amazing talks and see all your favorite Anarchist Vendors.

Day Six: BASTARD Conference – Sun March 14th
The Conference

Day Seven: East Bay is Pig Latin For Beast – Mon March 15th
Roving Events All Around The East Bay – wanna give us a f*cking clue where and when this takes place????

Day Eight: Anarchist Study Group – Tue March 16th
Discussion of the BASTARD conference.
