Every year since 2012, thousands have flocked to Oakland’s Lake Merritt to immerse themselves in the Autumn Lights Festival – a one-of-a-kind interactive art experience that is always the talk of the town. This year, the event will be held entirely online – bringing 40 spectacular illuminated art displays to life through video, demos, and live chat – treating audiences to an exciting behind-the-scenes experience with both longtime and new festival artists. Benefit for the nonprofit Friends of the Gardens at Lake Merritt. Free viewing nightly at 7 pm. www.gardensatlakemerritt.org
