Goodwill Closing 8 Bay Area Stores

8 stores including Oakland, Berkeley, Albany, Dublin and more are shutting down

Sadly, KTVU just shared the news that Goodwill is closing 8 stores around the Bay, and laying off 61 employees due to the ongoing pandemic.

Throughout most of the pandemic, the nonprofit second hand stores have been closed. Employees that have been let go received a severance package of week of pay, a month of health benefits and career assistance service.

Goodwill is closing stores in Livermore, Oakley, Dixon, Oakland, Vallejo, Dublin, Berkeley and Albany. Thankfully, KTVU notes that there’s still 17 other Goodwill locations around the Bay that remain open.
