Thanks to SF Gate for sharing the news that yet another retailer has closed down in the San Francisco Centre mall, formerly the Westfield San Francisco Centre, located at 865 Market St.
The Lego Store opened August 2016, and quietly permanently closed its doors on November 30, 2023. LEGO media representatives did not provide an exact reason for the closure — only a standard reply that they regularly evaluate their store portfolio so that they can can provide the best LEGO experience for shoppers and fans. San Francisco Lego store employees will be paid through the holidays.

Sadly, the San Francisco Centre has been losing major tenants for months now including its anchor tenant Nordstrom which closed in August 2023. Even Westfield, the shopping center’s former operator, left in June, citing “challenging operating conditions.” according to KRON4.
