2026 San Francisco Carnaval Festival & Parade (May 23-24)

Carnaval San Francisco is back for 2026 with their 48th annual celebration.

The free, two-day festival spans 17 blocks in the Mission District and features five main stages, 50 local performing artists, and 400 vendors. It offers international food, dancing, sampling sites, and entertainment for families, couples, and friends from all ethnic, social, and economic backgrounds. Over its 48-year history, the festival has welcomed renowned artists such as Celia Cruz, Santana, the Neville Brothers, Tito Puentes, Luis Enrique, Poncho Sanchez, Los Lonely Boys, Oscar D’León, La India, and Los Tigres del Norte. This two-day celebration delivers a vibrant cultural experience with free admission for the community. Drawing more than 400,000 attendees annually, Carnaval San Francisco stands as the largest multicultural celebration in California.

The Grand Parade features a 60-contingent lineup with over 5,500 artists representing the cultural heritages of Brazil, Mexico, Panama, Bolivia, Cuba, Peru, Puerto Rico, Nicaragua, Colombia, Trinidad & Tobago, Guatemala, El Salvador, and more, and is televised by CBS. The parade spans 20 blocks in San Francisco’s historic Latino Cultural District in the Mission.
