Event Details

“A fearless comedian. Elisha Tan shoots onstage like a lightning bolt — an assassin never missing her target.” — Los Angeles Female Playwrights Initiative

If you’ve ever chased a dream and watched it explode in your face, this show is for you.

Elisha Tan left Singapore with a plan: save her startup, become the success story her family could finally brag about, and prove that passion could pay.

She failed.

What followed was years of grinding, failing, and discovering what America looks like when you arrive with the wrong dream, the wrong face, and a family back home who will never let you forget it.

Alpha Asian is a solo stand-up hour about the real story of being trapped between two cultures’ definitions of success. It’s about Asian families, Silicon Valley delusion, and the humiliation of failing publicly in a world that only celebrates wins. Expect the kind of honesty that makes you laugh — then quietly wonder if you were allowed to.

Elisha’s journey was featured in Channel News Asia, CNBC, and Yahoo Finance, with conferences across Asia booking her to share it. Now, she’s telling that story the way it was meant to be told: as jokes.
