Join a free screening of “Dive,” an award winning documentary following a team of Los Angeles dumpster divers as they explore and expose the ever growing issue of food waste and its relationship to hunger.
The event will have complimentary pizza and bagels from Noah’s Bagels. They are asking for a $5 suggested donation to help Food Shift cover costs for the event.
The screening is sponsored by Food Shift, an Earth Island Institute project centered on creating a more sustainable and healthy food system, and The Berkeley Haas Culinary Club. Following the 53 minute film, there will be a discussion with Dana Frasz of Food Shift, an organization dedicated to building a more just and sustainable food system.
Join Food Shift members of the Culinary Club, Net Impact, the Center for Responsible Business (CRB), and the Berkeley Student Food Collaborative, as well as other members of the community to learn more and raise awareness around this important issue.
