Adobe Books has transformed into Adobe Books & Arts Cooperative, so come raise a glass to Adobe’s past, present and future, as they celebrate the grand opening of their new home on 24th Street from 7-11 pm on July 13, 2013.
DJs Kevin Spaghetti and Baron Van West will bring the tunes, and there will be an art opening in the new back room gallery, We Had Nothing To Do And We Did It, curated by Calcagno Cullen, and featuring artists Benjamin Perkins Burke, Tammy Rae Carland, Christian Davies, Erin Colleen Johnson, Susan O’Malley, and Erik Otto.
They are sponsored by Rainbow Grocery, have beer donated by Speakeasy Brewery, and snacks donated by Tartine Bakery. Also, you can have fun in the photobooth by Shot in the City and Kirk Maxson. (We think these will be free, but bring a few bucks just in case.)
Sample food from Maya Luna, a group of savvy immigrant leaders building a worker-owned catering and restaurant cooperative a block away from Adobe. (Samples are most likely free, and full portions may be for sale.)
