If you want to jam out to some top-shelf afrobeat, you can’t do any better than Afrofunk. This group sports an 8-piece band of guitars, bass, drums, percussion and horns, to produce a sound that is as layered as it is danceable. They’re funkin’ it up, Bay Area style! Joining them will be troubadours Broun Fellinis, who’s acid jazz mingles with funk, prog rock, and drum ‘n’ bass.
It’s a mélange of music that needs to be heard to believed. Come to this show only if you want to be blown away by sheer sound.
