Submitted by the Event Organizer
Please note, this event is NOT all-you-can-eat. Instead for $5 you get seven appetizer-sized samples from seven participating restaurants at UC Berkeley’s Restaurant Row – Our contact at UC Berkeley gave us the wrong information and we just found out from his boss.
Caltopia is the free two-day campus festival at UC Berkeley with live music, a treasure hunt, free massages and tons more. On Monday August 23rd you can sample food from seven different vendors along “restaurant row” on campus for an all-you-can-eat bonanza for just $5. This is open to both students and the general public.
Event Update: We received confirmation that the event is “all you can eat” from one of our sources, but another says says that you simply receive a bunch of appetizer-sized samples – Regardless, it should be a lot of food!
UC Berkeley says, “that area does have a $5 cost but the participants receives appetizer size samples from all 7 participating restaurants which equates to a heaping plate and both hands full of food. This year’s restaurants are SF Soup Company, Skates on the Bay, Spenger’s Fresh Fish Grotto, Saturn Café, Henry’s Pub, Café Colucci and Berkeley’s Kitchen. There are many other exhibitors that also provide free samples including Extreme Pizza, Clif Bar, FUZE, Ben & Jerry’s and more.”
