Event Details

Every year, the team at The Source Chiropractic offers an alternative to taking pictures with the traditional “Jolly Old St. Nick”

They noticed a need for a #BlackSanta or Alternative Santa, by witnessing a repetitive pattern of the children typically given white fairy tale/folklore characters as representations of “good” (Santa, snow white, Cinderella) and black fairy tale/folklore characters as a representation of “bad” (black cat, ugly duckling, big bad wolf).

With the lack of minority representation in Disney movies, Nickelodeon cartoons, and children’s books, it’s refreshing to offer an alternative Holiday Family Picture opportunity that represents the diversity of the Oakland Community.

Toys and Food donations will be accepted to help feed and gift Oakland Families in need this holiday season.
