Event Details

The Oakland Civic Orchestra will present “On American Soil” on Sunday March 13, 2016, at 4:00 PM at the Lake Merritt Methodist Church.

Admission is free, sponsored by the Oakland Parks and Rec department. (Donations welcome.)

The program features three pieces, “Gait Changes,” by their principal conductor, Marty Stoddard, written as a response to her daily walk around one of San Francisco’s peaks, Dvorak’s 9th “New World” Symphony, and Barber’s “First Essay for Orchestra.”
