Event Details

WELCOME BACK! The government has announced that there is no longer a major threat of avian flu for non-wild waterfowl so we are starting workdays once more. This is very exciting and I hope everyone is ready to roll up their sleeves and help all the beautiful animals.
Once a month we all gather at One Living Sanctuary and/or Animal Liberation Temple.
This is a day that these sanctuaries count on all of us to show up and be able to work. While we want you to engage with and love the animals, these are not petting zoos. We will be working with the sanctuaries to have a time when small children will be able to go, learn about, and spend quality time with the animals. We ask that nobody under the age of 10yo or anyone unable to perform moderate to hard work show up on these workdays. We appreciate everyone but need to make sure we are showing up to offer much-needed assistance. Thank you for understanding.
We will gather and go over tasks at 10am in the driveway. Please bring your own lunch and reusable water bottle.
We will help with chores around the sanctuary. Please wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty, jeans are best, work boots, and gloves. There will be simple jobs, dirty jobs (my favorite) as well as jobs that may require a higher level of physical fitness (my super favorite).
Please drive slowly down the long driveway. There are sometimes animals around and we want everyone to be safe.
We recommend wearing layers as it can be cold early in the morning. If you have work gloves, please bring them but we will have extra if needed as well as hand sanitizer.
Also please sign this volunteer waiver!

Spending time with the animals we are fighting for is not only good for your mental health and well being but it reinforces our commitment to the cause.
