2nd Annual Freak Show Festival | Oakland

Celebrate the Second Annual Freak Show with Freak Comix.

This March, come to CCW and let your freak flag fly. Join this ragtag band of Bay Area comic artists as they showcase original works from their stellar suite of nine comics anthologies that center the strange, the transgressive and the downright hilarious. Leave any stereotypes you have about this medium at the door – Freak Comix is drawing the bleeding edge of text and image alchemy to express more than Archie or Batman would ever dare.

Events not to miss are their March 6th First Friday opening with DJ sets by the artists, and at the Freak Fest on March 28th, featuring readings, vinyl DJs and offerings from over 10 vendors.

Freak Comics is an independent, self publishing, Bay Area comic artists collective founded in March of 2018. Freak Comics curates, edits, and publishes bi-monthly anthologies featuring artists from all over the world, as well as their own personal comics, zines, and art books.
