Livermore Valley Performing Arts Center will host its fourth annual Native American Day at the Bankhead Theater Shea Homes plaza. The family friendly event for all ages, offered in association with Livermore’s American Indian Center, will include a tipi tour of a 20-foot Lakota tipi, dancing and singing, artifacts, free crafts provided by volunteers for all students and Native American food selections.

The American Indian Center Children’s Pow Wow program will start at noon with introductions and a message from local dignitaries, and end at 5 pm with the announcement of contest winners. At this pow wow, there will be dance contests for participants by age groups for both boys and girls up to age 18 for different categories.
