Event Details

The San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC) is having its Third Annual Wastewater Whirl on Saturday, October 18, 2014

Free, but an RSVP is required.

Come ride alongside some of San Francisco’s top wastewater engineers as we bike around the city to learn about the critical facilities that work nonstop to protect public health and the environment. During the ride you’ll learn about our treatment plants and you’ll also get a chance to check out pump stations, storm drains, catch basins, digesters, outfalls, and green infrastructure.

Meet at the Southeast Plant located on 750 Phelps St. (at Evans) in the Bayview at 9:30 am hoping to get the wheels spinning promptly at 10 am.

The entire ride around the city will be about 25-30 miles but the main attractions will be in the first 10 miles. Feel free to depart at any time or join us for the entire ride.
