The Society of Professional Journalists presents a Town Hall discussion on the progress towards building sustainable, quality journalism to replace coverage lost by the downsizing of print media.

In a highly interactive discussion driven by the audience, a panel of 10 media, economic and social experts will offer expert perspective on the changes taking place as journalists adapt to new media.

Panelists include: State Sen. Leland Yee; Brian Farnham, editor in chief of AOL’s Patch.com; Yahoo! local news editor Anthony Moor; San Francisco State broadcast professor Dr. Dina Ibrahim; Knight Digital Media Center Director Lanita Pace-Hinton; MarketWatch Editor-in-Chief David Callaway; Kwan Booth, an editor at Oakland Local; venture capitalist Pat Kenealy; media analyst Barry Parr; and Kwokshu Leung, executive producer, Mandarin/Cantonese News, KTSF.
