In conjunction with the Balenciaga and Spain exhibition currently running at the de Young, Julia Geist of the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco will discuss the enduring work of haute couture master Cristóbal Balenciaga and the profound influence of Spain on his work. The impact of Spanish culture, history, and traditions is explored through recurring themes in Balenciaga’s oeuvre.

This free lecture will take place in the Creekside Room at the Mill Valley Public Library.
