This one-man art show of drawings, paintings and B&W photography is a benefit for Doctors Without Borders. It’s in memoriam to *Alex Miloradovich*, who passed away at 71 in 2018. Alex was a dear friend to many of us, a generous soul and rare spirit in all aspects, an accomplished artist and humanist, a reader, a wit, and dedicated to being part of the art community in North Beach and the East Bay. He took these opportunities joyously. And with his passing, he left behind a vast and stunning collection of his artwork, dating back 50 years to the early 70s. Unpacking this trove has been an amazing discovery of an artist’s unbridled versatility.
And it deserves to be seen. It’s like a homecoming that his work be shown at Live Worms Gallery in North Beach, where he was involved in hanging and exhibiting in roughly 40 group shows. But it is also fitting that his art benefit a worthy cause. Alex was deeply Anti-War. The choice of ‘Doctors Without Borders’ at this of all times stood out instantly. All proceeds will go to Doctors Without Borders, and Alex’s work will be priced to remain within reach of any collector, which was always his wish. For this cause, we hope many will come. Please spread the word.
(Opening reception First Friday May 6, 5-9 pm, with live music performance featuring “The MegaFlame Trio” 8-9 pm).
