New Year’s Eve Art Party: Live Blues & Blank Walls for Drawing | Oakland

Blackball Universe, a creative collective of artists, musicians, and film makers, is cordially inviting you to their New Year’s Eve party, YouTag Party, which will feature a plethora of pens with which you will be providing the art starting at 7 pm on December 31, 2014.

Make your mark on their gallery walls, dance and count down to 2015. Tag their walls with your New Year’s resolutions and your favorite 2014 memories. Every year begins with a blank slate.

The party is free and open to all ages, but donations are encouraged. Markers, live music, food and drinks will be provided.

Keeping the party going will be live music by Fantastic Negrito, performing “black roots music for everyone.” It’s Blues with a punk attitude from Oakland, California.

Please note, in 2013, the party went until 3 am; we’re not sure when it will end this year, but they’re definitely counting down to midnight.
