2013 Asian Contemporary Art Week | SF

Asian Contemporary Arts Consortium San Francisco (ACAC-SF) welcomes the second edition of the Asian Contemporary Art Week (ACAW-SF) from September 19-26, 2013.

Partnering with 19 cultural institutions across the Bay Area and featuring 27 programs, ranging from exhibitions and conferences to screenings and performances, ACAW-SF celebrates the diversity and dynamics of Asian contemporary art practice.

Artists in Conversation | 2013 Asian Contemporary Art Week | SF

Artist Koki Tanaka and curator and writer Hu Fang, will invite a rethinking of conceptual approaches to art practices today by discussing the creation process of Tanaka’s work, a pottery produced by five potters at once (silent attempt) (2013), currently on view at the Japanese Pavilion at the 55th Venice Biennale.
