Event Details

April through October, Mount Tamalpais State Park and the SF Amateur Astronomers host monthly astronomy lectures and star parties. The astronomy lectures start shortly after sunset (around 8 pm) at the Mountain Theater above Rock Springs.

After the lecture, the public is invited to view the stars through telescopes setup and operated by club members in the Rock Springs parking lot. (Get directions by clicking here)

Public observing following the lectures lasts about 1-1/2 to 2 hours.
