Event Details

Join the San Francisco Amateur Astronomers and Friends of Mt. Tam for a lecture and star party high “above the fog” on Mt. Tamalpais in Marin County. The speaker for June 2013 is Dr. Alex Filippenko from UC Berkeley. “The expansion rate of the Universe is speeding up with time, rather than slowing down due to gravity as expected. The origin of the repulsive “dark energy” may be the biggest unsolved mystery in all of physics.”

Following Dr. Filippenko’s lecture, enjoy a tour of the night sky and deep space viewing with the San Francisco Amateur Astronomers.
