Pesticide Action Network North America (PANNA), LiveReal, the California Food and Justice Coalition, Food First, and People’s Grocery presents a free food justice event in San Francisco, entitled Growing Food Democracy: Connecting Global Lessons to Local Action.

Food Justice Panel Talk:

Exploring the successes, tensions and synergies between the local food justice, national food democracy and global food sovereignty movements.

  • Robert Gottlieb and Raj Patel — two of the food justice movement’s leading authors
  • Navina Khanna — activist with Oakland’s LiveReal
  • Marcia Ishii-Eiteman — moderator, PANNA’s senior scientist.
