Event Details

Costumed in towering plumed headdresses, the Xitlalli Danza Azteca dance group will perform traditional ritual Aztec dances on October 11, 2014.

Free for SF County residents with proof of residency. Otherwise, admission is $7 for adults.

The performance kicks off the SF Botanical Garden’s Cloud Forest focus with a demonstration by this dramatic Aztec dance group.

Event Schedule

  • 11 am to 12:30 pm: Altar Making with the Mission Cultural Center for Latino Arts to usher in the Cloud Forest bloom
  • 12:30-1 pm: Xitlalli Danza Azteca performance

Conservation organizations working to save the cloud forests and endangered plant communities will also be on hand to explain the current state of Mesoamerican and South America cloud forests.
