Join BART for its very first Under the Stars Family Movie Night on Saturday, August 16, 2025 at Concord Station. For one night only, the station parking lot will transform into a camp-themed outdoor theater for a screening of the animated favorite Madagascar under the Bay Area sky.
The fun kicks off at 7pm with crafts, face painting, lanyard making, photo ops, and a BART uniform try-on station. You can also check out never-before-seen “train cab” footage filmed from a BART operator’s perspective, showing a time-lapse ride along all 131 miles of the system.
Guests can get the special “Under the Stars” stamp for their BART Stamp Passport, shop for BART merch (including a brand-new system map fleece blanket debuting at the event), and grab snacks. Tickets include admission, popcorn, a small bottled water, and fruit snacks — or upgrade to the Family 4-Pack for extra treats.

🎟 Individual ticket: $5 (includes admission, a bag of popcorn, a small bottled water, and fruit snacks)
👨👩👧👦 Family 4-Pack: $17 (includes admission for four, a bag of freshly popped kettle corn, gourmet licorice, and a small disposable water or juice box for your group). You’ll save $3 when you buy the 4-pack.
Your paid receipt is your ticket. Show it at the entrance on event night. Tickets are available on Railgoods or at the door (credit/debit/Apple Pay/Google Pay).
The station lot will be covered in turf, but you’ll want to bring low chairs, blankets, and pillows to get comfy for the show, which starts at 8pm and runs just under two hours. ADA restrooms, hydration stations, and misters will be on site to keep things cool.
