Bay Area Queer Zine Fest (BAQZF) is pleased to announce its return for the 9th annual in-person event, in addition to a two week-long virtual event. This year’s hybrid event will host online vendors on the BAQZF website from September 12th through September 26th, culminating with an in-person event on Sunday, September 27th, featuring over 30 local and national exhibitors at the Oakland Asian Cultural Center on 388 9th St from 11am – 5pm.
For its 2026 iteration, BAQZF will adopt a Renaissance motif in order to embody the values of storytelling, inclusivity, and creativity inherent to the era. BAQZF is delighted to continue to foster a space for LGBTQIA+ creatives from the Bay Area and beyond in which zines are centered as a medium for creative experimentation and radical self-expression.
Bay Area Queer Zine Fest is free and open to the public. Masks and social distancing will be enforced throughout the in-person event, and an archive will be available on bayareaqueerzinefest.com after September 27th.
